How can Counselling help you to cope?

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, particularly if we have lots to juggle.

Looking after children, parents and managing a job can all seem too much.

With the added pressures of Coronavirus COVID-19.

Home Independence Occupational Therapy Ltd asked a

Leicester-based Counsellor about what she can offer to help.

1.  How long have you been a Counsellor and what areas have you worked in?

5 Years. I have worked at Mosaic disability services, Cruse and University of Leicester. I have been an independent Counsellor for Counselling with Chrissie since 2018.

2.  Where do you work now and what services do you offer?

I have an office at First Floor, 5 Upper Kings Street, Leicester. I also do online sessions via zoom, and I am able to do home visits if requested.

3.  Can you give an example of how Counselling support can help?

Working together we can find ways to overcome obstacles and improve your life by exploring your inner thoughts, feelings, emotions and experiences to improve your understanding.
I have experience in working with clients who have relationship issues, bereavement issues, attachment issues and those who are affected by anxiety or panic attacks.
I have helped clients who are struggling with, fear, anger, rage, depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence and disability/health issues.
I am able to help those who are caring for someone with a disability and illness including recovery from COVID-19. I also work with clients who have experienced sexual and/or physical abuse, domestic violence.
